Swizz Beatz and Eve on the Set of Coolin’
How excited am I? I was scared that E.V.E. had gone Hollywood on us but she’s back!!! Not only is she back, but she’s returning to the winning formula of working with Swizz Beatz. I think he brings out the best in her. They were in California to shoot the video for “Coolin,” off of Swizz Beatz’ upcoming album, Haute Living. The video was shot by Taj and features Diddy’s son, Christian. That boy is a carbon copy of his dad. Diddy couldn’t even deny him if he wanted to.
Eve is looking amazing. One thing I love about her is how comfortable she is in her skin. She ‘s never had the need to get cosmetic surgery done, even though she has tiny boobs. She’s secure in who she is as a person and I think that’s really sexy in a woman. She also commits shoeicide with a crazy pair of booties from the latest Spring Summer 2011 design by Iris van Herpen x United Nude (Crystallization Collection) and rocks a a spiked sequin dress by The Blonds (Phillipe & David), while Swizzy is killing them in a Tom Ford floral tuxedo jacket! Nelly and Kelly on the Set of New Music Video
Who does not remember the year Dilemma by Nelly and Kelly Rowland came out??? I honestly can’t think of another male/female duet that had as much chemistry as they did in that video. We were all secretly wishing they’d end up together. I really don’t buy that Ashanti and Nelly relationship thing coz honestly, if a guy can’t claim you publicly, there’s a problem. Just ask Ciara and 50 Cent.
Anyway, Kelly Rowland, 29, and Nelly, 36, got all cuddly during the video shoot of “Gone” in Cancun, Mexico. They’re either really in love on the low or they’re very good actors because I can just feel the heat they generated when I look at the pics. Check them out after the break. (more…)
Ciara’s Basic Instinct CD Insert
Am I the only one who had no idea that Ciara has an album coming out? Her label is doing a horrendous job of marketing her. Not that I was planning on buying it but I’m sure she has fans somewhere… Don’t kill the messenger. I loved her back in her Goodies days. Feel like back then she was more focused on music and dancing, which is her real talent. Now she’s become like all the other oversexed chics. Why does it always have to be about nudity? If you think I’m lying, you should take a look at her CD inserts after the break. I guess you have to show extra skin to sell albums these days. Though it just doesn’t work for me… If you’re interested, Basic Instinct will be in stores on Tuesday, December 14th. Let me know if it’s worth it, won’t you?

Kanye West’s Monster Video Stills… Scary!!!
Just when I thought Kanye West was getting back to normal, he goes and pulls another crazy stunt. It seems the video for his song, Monster, will be different (for lack of a better word). Very different. Select scenes from his new music video ‘Monster’ hit the web yesterday. This video is very creepy. If his intention is to get the Illuminati rumours going again, I think he’s outdone himself.
In one scene, Kanye is shown lounging on a bed with a collection of dead bodies lying next to him. He clumsily makes out with one corpse like some kind of twisted, psychotic serial killer. The video also features rappers Jay Z, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross — who, in another macabre scene, smokes a cigar while sitting in a chair with dead bodies literally hanging around him.
Kanye’s exceptional CD, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is in stores now. It was actually awarded 5 mics by the Source magazine. What I’ve heard is also pretty good. However, I just can’t deal with this mess. Some may think it’s creativity, I just think it’s sick. See more stills after the break. (more…)
2011 GRAMMY Nominations
Rapper Eminem, newcomer Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga top the 2011 Grammy nominations list released yesterday. Eminem racked up 10 nominations! Newcomer Bruno Mars earned a total of 7 nominations, including 3 nods for his collaboration with B.O.B titled “Nothing On You”. Jay-z earned six, newcomer B.O.B earned five, and Drake & Rihanna earned 4 a piece.
R&B Diva Monica received 2 nominations which included “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for ‘Everything To Me’, and “Best R&B Album”. Beyonce snagged 2 (including her “Telephone” collab with Lady Gaga), Alicia Keys snagged 3 (all for her hit song “Empire State Of Mind” w/ Jay-z). R. Kelly earned 2 (Best Contemporary R&B Album, & Best Traditional R&B Vocal for “When A Woman Loves) and Nicki Minaj also gained a grammy nomination for “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group – My Chick Bad w/Ludacris”.
Canadian stars Justin Bieber and Drake are nominated for best new artist, along with U.K. acts Florence & the Machine and Mumford & Sons, and jazz artist Esperanza Spalding. Chris Brown is nominated for 3 Grammys for Best Contemporary R&B Album (Graffiti), Best Rap Collaboration (“Deuces”) and Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group (“Take My Time” with Tank). I love Kelis as an artist because she’s not afraid to be different. Take the above promo shot for instance. It was taken by photographer Rankin. It seems to depict her as a character from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Flesh Tone features Acapella plus 8 other tracks, including collaborations with a stellar line up of producers like David Guetta, will.i.am, Benny Benassi, Boysnoize, Free School and DJ Ammo. Interestingly, the album is already our in the UK, Latin America and Asia. It will be coming out in Germany on May 28. Fans in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have to wait until July 6th. Sade is Back!!!
This is the album cover for Sade’s new album Soldier of Love which is due in stores on February 8th 2010. I think it’s absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait!!! Been too damn long… This is Sade’s first official studio album since the multi-platinum release of Lovers Rock in 2000.
Sade has enjoyed phenomenal success both internationally and stateside throughout the span of their twenty-five year career. Since the release of their debut album, Diamond Life in 1984, the band has seen all five of their studio albums land in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart selling a total of more than 50 million albums worldwide to date. New Music: Robin Thicke ft. Nicki Minaj – Shakin It For Daddy
Robin Thicke is the latest artist to collaborate with Nicki Minaj on a song titled “Shakin It For Daddy”. The interesting thing about the song is that it was Jay-z’s idea for Robin to snag Nicki for a verse:
“It was Jay’s idea,” Thicke said about how Nicki Minaj came to be on “Shakin’ It 4 Daddy.” “We were in the studio, and I played him the whole album. He was like, ‘You should get Nicki Minaj on that. She’s got that voice. She’s got that swag.’ So I leaned over and was like, ‘Somebody get Nicki Minaj on the phone! Jay-Z said so!’ Next thing you know, we called Nicki. She was excited. But once we told her it was Jay-Z’s idea to get her on the track, she started screaming on the phone. She was all excited. She’s a super, super talent. I can’t wait to do a video with Nicki. There’s a power in her. It’s not just that she’s sexy and that’s the only way she can get you to like her. She’s got charm — not just sex. Some women may use sex to get what they want; others have charm. She’s got charm.

JLo has a new album coming out. “Love” will mark her return to music. This track that leaked is called Louboutins and I must say I wasn’t as disappointed as I thought I would be. It’s not her best work but I can see myself bumping it in the car…
