You can only miss what you already know and if it was good. People who know nothing about sex, of course, have no problem with being celibate until they get married. Sure, they're gonna find themselves attracted to people, feel butterflies blah blah blah but that physical connection between 2 bodies, if they have never experienced it before, celibacy won't be a problem.
Then you have the people who have had sex but let's say the experience wasn't that great. Some of them won't miss it, others will try to fix the issue by going to counselors or reading things on the internet. You also have people who can only enjoy sex with people they're in love with. I'd rather say for the latter that they don't have sex but make love. And yes people, there is a huge difference.
Society, with this whole sexual revolution thing tried to make us think that having sex and making love are one same business. I beg to differ and any womanizer who who finally got hit by Cupid will concur.
I don't care what people say, celibacy while dating isn't impossible to achieve. I have one of my closet male friends who was a man whore (he doesn't deny it) for ages. I remember the crude comments he used to make he was 17 in high school about recognizing the scent of the woman's va-jay-jay. Then he went to college and spent experimenting everything he could. In the midst of all this debauchery, something happened to him, one thing leading to another, he became a born-again christian. He has been celibate for more than 10 years. He didn't deny that on top of the loneliness, there were times he wanted to "relieve" himself and that he had the phone numbers of some girls at his church, he knew, would have been delighted to lessen the brother's torment. However, he kept firm in his resolution. He's now about to get married to a woman who shares his beliefs and they're gonna be celibate until their wedding night.
I know other people who are doing the celibacy thing. It's a matter of strength of character. Sorry to sound condescending but that's the truth. I have close friends who are Roman Catholic and Muslim who say that it's impossible to remain celibate while at the same time they hold on to all the other requirements of their religion. They know deep down that they're just being hypocrites and that they're trying to cover the fact that they weren't able to resist. Indeed, the said group friends have the intention to forbid their children to have sexual relations before they're married. So, why don't we just cut the crap? Why do we feel pressured by society to do things that we don't want to? Who said all normal and reasonable people should know it's better to live together and have sex before the marriage, that way you know in what you're getting yourself to? If someone has some strong will and discipline, the person can achieve whatever he or she sets her mind to. So if you have decided that you don't want to cohabit nor have sex before your marriage, you should be able to do it as long as you are not afraid to be ridiculed by the so-called more realistic people who surround you. It's a personal decision and not an impossible task to complete.
