Topless Kelly Rowland Covers Vibe
Kelly Rowland, who is currently riding high on the charts with her single Motivation, covers the August/September issue of Vibe magazine topless! In the Annual Juice issue that hits news stands August 16th, Kelly chats it up about her success overseas, parting ways with Mathew Knowles and sex toy shopping with the girls. Here’s a few excerpts:
VIBE: The last album didn’t do well in the States. It did better overseas, particularly in Europe. Do you feel more appreciated in Europe?
Kelly Rowland: No, not really. People still compare me to B over there. I said in an interview recently, ‘You know, if you guys would be a little bit more intelligent and ask me about myself we’ll have a much better interview.’ You can’t want a story from me and keep asking me about the past.When you walked away from that last meeting with Mathew, did you feel an “exhale” moment?
I did, but I also felt like, ‘Oh my God, what have I done?!’ I stayed in the house for two days. I was sad. It was like a funeral. I had to deaden that situation in order to start fresh. That’s a very long time to have the same manager and the same label. (more…)

Women are naturally very self conscious about their looks. As a result, we tend to think that makeup, weaves, cosmetic surgery, etc. will help make us more beautiful - whatever that means. But what is the true definition of beauty? Singer Kelly Rowland, who’s currently enjoying the top spot on the R&B charts with her new single Motivation, hasn’t been exempt from feeling unworthy. She recently opened up about self love as a guest editor for Essence.com, while discussing her journey of lows and highs in beauty and what really makes her feel beautiful.
On not feeling beautiful
It took a long while for me to know that I’m beautiful. I remember going through this phase when I was younger of wanting to pass by mirrors and not look at them. That was so ridiculous. I’ve learned now that beauty starts from within. If you don’t know your worth, if you don’t know your value, if you don’t know how fantabulous you are — it’s going to be hard for other people to see it. Being appreciative of self, is beauty to me.On what makes her feel beautiful
What makes me feel really beautiful is when I wake up and my skin is acting right [laughs] and I have a really great workout. When those days come, remember you deserve them because you work so hard. (more…)

She’s such a classy and talented young woman. She was recently on Power 105.1′s Breakfast Club show where she discussed everything from Beyonce’s recent split with Mathew Knowles, to the type of men she is attracted to. Check out excerpts from the interview below:
On her genre of music
It’s so funny because everybody tried to put me in a box “Oh, so you do dance now.” For me, I don’t allow nobody to do that to me. At the same time I was recording dance music, I was recording “Smooches,” I was recording all these different types of records that were more so urban. I just tried something out and it just so happened to work. I love it all…if I can do it all, then why not?The world would like to put you in a box. They just believe since you’re black, you should do black music, so when you go and try and do something else and that works “Oh, she’s a black girl doing dance music.” Jodie Watley showed us we can do it all, Diana Ross showed us we can do it all.
Why do you think you’re received dance music more than America?
Actually America is getting more into dance. You got Chris Brown who just did “Beautiful People,” (which is my morning song) to Akon who did “Sexy Bitch” and Rihanna did a lot of dance music. I think that music has these different feels now where you can just play. You’re allowed to be an artist and I think that’s dope.You’ve dated all kinds of guys from different places. Nelly and Kelly on the Set of New Music Video
Who does not remember the year Dilemma by Nelly and Kelly Rowland came out??? I honestly can’t think of another male/female duet that had as much chemistry as they did in that video. We were all secretly wishing they’d end up together. I really don’t buy that Ashanti and Nelly relationship thing coz honestly, if a guy can’t claim you publicly, there’s a problem. Just ask Ciara and 50 Cent.
Anyway, Kelly Rowland, 29, and Nelly, 36, got all cuddly during the video shoot of “Gone” in Cancun, Mexico. They’re either really in love on the low or they’re very good actors because I can just feel the heat they generated when I look at the pics. Check them out after the break. (more…)
Beyonce at the Grammys
Everyone thought Beyonce was hiding during the Grammys. She was not spotted on the Red Carpet at all. I think she was just trying to be a supportive friend to her BFF Gwyneth Paltrow who was performing “Forget You” with Cee-Lo. The two could have passed for sisters! They were both dressed in black, Christian Louboutin heels and similar blonde hairstyles. I think that was very selfless of Bey. No Jay-Z pics coz he did not attend 
Beyonce was also spotted in West Hollywood on Valentines Day in a little black dress and bright blue/green Christian Louboutin heels, being escorted from shop to shop (see pics after the break). After her shopping spree, she headed to Phillipe Chow in West Hollywood where she met up with former Destiny Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Solange and cousin Angie Beyince were also on hand as the ladies celebrated Kelly’s 30th birthday. So I guess that deads all the Bey and Kelly rivalry rumours. (more…)
Hot Trend Alert: Leopard Print Shoes
I’ve loved leopard print ever since my mum bought me a beautiful velvet leopard print skirt back when I was a teenager. Have no idea what happened to it but it was such a prized possession. Leopard print can look very HOT. However…you have to wear it in moderation, and know what to pair it with. Too much can have you looking like a cross breed of a leopard and a human. (more…)

No, I’m not lesbian. I’m just secure enough in my own skin to point out a good looking woman. Kelly performed a three-song set Monday night at the Sun Life stadium for the Miami Dolphins game. Kelly looked stunning in her white dress as she strutted down the red carpet. She looks so fresh faced and natural (sorry Beyonce stans). I’m loving the breast cancer ribbon she has on too. A little while back I gave you a teaser of Kelly’s photoshoot for Cosmo South Africa. Kelly has now shared with us the full fashion spread for the July 2010 issue. She looks great. I know I just featured her on here the other day. But she looks fabulous! The best career move she ever made was dumping Matthew Knowles as her manager. Kelly Rowland In Cosmo South Africa
29 year old Kelly Rowland has a spread in an upcoming issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, South Africa. Kelly is gearing up for the release of her upcoming (still untitled) album due in stores in September of this year. The music video for the new album’s lead single “Commander” was shot last week in Los Angeles by director Masashi Muto and will feature choreography from Fatima Robinson. Kelly’s music seems to be more accepted outside of the US. Guess Beyonce still has that market on lock.
