Rihanna Curses Out Fan On Twitter

Twitter is the devil. I said it before and I’ll say it again. Twitter is the devil. Rihanna unveiled the cover art for her next single “Man Down” via her twitter yesterday. Upon viewing the pic, @NinyaBella,  a pseudo fan, was more focused on her hair in the photo than her actual choice for the next single and had this to tweet:

Well, little Miss Rih Rih was having none of that and promptly fired off her reply:

#ManDown ha ha ha ha @NinyaBella felt some kinda way about it and ranted about it on her blog:

Like any other day I go to check my twitter and notice Rihanna tweeted the cover to her new single “Man Down” shown below. I replied to her “why does her hair look so nappy?” Rihanna replies to me “Cuz im black bitch!” Now, the first thing I thought was “that doesn’t answer my question”. What does being black have anything to do with an ugly weave/wig. Nappy to me means dry, coarse, unkept hair. It doesn’t mean it has to be straight. And to me, this is how her hair looks in this cover. Other times it has looked good because it’s kept and done.

As a celebrity she has stylist who takes care of these things especially for an album cover.   As a fan I thought it was a poor choice of picture, this same picture in color looks amazing! This black and white does nothing good for her. The texture of her hair looks horrible. It looks like plastic doll hair.

Everybody is jumping on the racist thing, first off Im not caucasian, Im hispanic. Full Dominican to be exact. My husband who is also the father of my kids is also Dominican. His hair is extremely nappy, so is my sons. Most of the people in my family have nappy hair. If you don’t know what Dominicans look like.. Look it up.

Another thing people were telling me was to educate myself. I went to a cosmetology school and know the basics about hair. Like what unkept hair looks like and that everybody who does go to the salon, goes to get something done that will enhance their look. Not make it look worst, or keep it the same.

Maybe It was mean, but It’s what I felt. I don’t think with the amount of money she has she should be walking around with unkept hair. And in fact if she does like her hair the way it was, she would have replied “Because I like it like that” and not blame it on her race.

I guess Rihanna just lost a fan…Oh well…Drama for them is entertainment for us 🙂

That’s such a silly response by Rhianna. Not only did she make it a race thing, it’s not even her hair! Hello, that’s a weave, honey. If your weave looks a little off, it looks off. How can you take personal a comment about what is most likely somebody else’s hair? And it does look like plastic doll hair.

Now, if the NinyaBella person had just said what she meant and not tried to shortcut by saying Nappy (again, the evils of Twitter and its character count limit), people wouldn’t have jumped on the racism bandwagon so fast.

Drama drama drama, all over hair that didn’t originate with either one of them. Funny stuff!

When I first saw that comment u made, I was about to say its because she has a different hair type than yours it doesn’t really matter if ur hispanic ur hair texture is still close to caucasian. Nappy to me is different than nappy to u and I know that our hair isn’t the same so explaining whos a part of your family and what u r doesn’t make a difference because i kno ppl who still get offended by ppl saying our hair is nappy cuz that was the main adjective to describe black pplz hair. Everyone doesn’t have the same definition of nappy but u should have made it more clear and clarified what nappy means. I’m a rihanna fan but she shouldn’t have called u a bitch, but on the real u should have explained in ur tweet wat u meant by nappy. Yeah…

This chick just contradicted herself.. she defined “nappy” as unkept hair then went on to say her husband and sons have extremely nappy hair. F@# her.. she got the response she deserved. She is ignorant.

Her comment was ignorant to begin with and frankly nappy is just NOT a nice word.

First of all she did not contradict herself when she said her husband and kids got nappy haor. She never said her husband and kids hair was well kept, obviously her husband is a guy and as a guy he doesn’t do his hair which is unkept

First of all…. plain RACIST! us nappy hair bitches will keep buying her albums so you won’t be missed. ” course and unkept” why didn’t you say that in your little tweet in the first place, don’t have to be all politically correct after you have been caught. Here’s a little lesson in life, watch what you say to people because I am pretty sure the term Nappy is not associated with ” course and unkept ” especially when you are referring to anybody with african heritage.

How is she gonna go on website talking about Rihanna’s hair nappy and then goes to talk about her husband’s and kids’ hair nappy like that? All people, all races, male and female, have bad hair days sometimes, but “NAPPY” is not a good choice of words to make a celebrity snap at someone for making abrasive comments about his or her hair. Be care and think before you post comments about someone’s appearance. Clothes, hair, face, etc. When you insult someone on twitter about someone’s hair calling it “Nappy”, then you will have the same insult thrown back at you.
