Vivica Fox Unleashes Diva Attitude in South Africa

Vivica Fox seems to have packed her huge ego into her suitcase when she left the States for South Africa. Minister of Sports and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula, invited South African celebrities, sportsmen and women, and politicians to help him welcome international stars Brandy, Vivica A. Fox, Regina King, Sugar Ray Leonard and more to the country ahead of the South African Sports Awards on Sunday when the international celebrities will be presenting awards.

Just hours after arriving in the country, US actress Vivica A Fox threw a tantrum of note at local celebrities including Live presenter Bonang Matheba, Minnie Dlamini and Terry Pheto at Randlords, in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

All was merry until the MC, TBO Touch, invited Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula, and his American guests on stage for a photograph. Touch then asked Matheba and Generations actress Sonia Sedibe to join the group.

Before long, Dlamini, Pheto and another Generations actress, Sophie Ndaba, joined the fray. As the flashbulbs went off, Fox began getting edgy, and was then seen telling the local celebrities off.

Fox said: “Oh no, I don’t mean to be rude, but please could you get off the stage? Yes, go, get off the stage.” She gestured vigorously at them. Dlamini was particularly peeved, and walked off the stage. This really angered the locals and, predictably, a twitter trend got going: #TakeVivicaBackHome

Owen Khumalo took to his twitter page: “#ThatAwakwardMoment When Vivica A. Fox throws diva tantrums at the event she’s been unnecessarily flown to and paid for”

TV and Radio personality, Bonang, Matheba, who was also at the event, also took to her twitter page: “The way Vivica REDUCED us today!! Kwaahaahaaaaaa!!! I’ve never!”

Celebrity make up artist, Nthato Mashishi said this of the actress: “Tjo.. I’m so disappointed by Vivica Fox’s behavior… so ghetto maaan”

Vivica, if there is a next time, please don’t bring your attitude with you. Americans may be able to stomach you, but Africans couldn’t give two shits about you.

If this happened in Kenya, I wonder what TT #KenyansonTwitter would come up with 🙂

      Wheres proof.?

And some say why was she flown here. Vivica did not ask Mbalula to waste SA taxpayers money flying her here. The woman has made a name for herself and doesnt need SA for anything. The inferiority complex of South Africans is not Vivica’s problem. She did not come here to be reduced by some nonentities who have it in their minds that they are celebrities when they are wannabes and alcoholics. Sophia Ndaba is an alcoholic, Sonia Mbele a desperado and Bonang looks like a prostitute and stripper that has just been deported from London?

I dont even know others like this Mashishi character. And why did the immature TBO Touch invite the low lives on stage? Vivica is not here to lift trash out of the rubbish bin and take it to Hollywood. They are complaining yet they live to mimic black Americans. Vivica served them right. Johannesburg blacks like to believe that theres something about them when they are illmannered, stupid and uneducated.

Those who say Vivica has a ghetto attitude have a squatter camp attitude. Who are these nobodies in the bigger scheme of things? The department of Sport did not pay for Vivica to come here for them.

There may be no video but we need to remember that where there is smoke there IS a fire – however small…. and bad manners must not be encouraged especially fromm the so called celebrities. They are role models to many young people.

She is the sweetest person I’ve ever met. She has a strong manner but is NOT rude. Is that what she REALLY said? who can vouch for that?

The pieces of trash that are called SA celebrities have been put where they belomg, in the russbish bin. Vivica is a Hollywood movie star and not a Generation trash. These worthless social climbers wanted to be seen with her to use her face to climb the ladder.
I agree with Tendonyango about the lack of manners.

And who is Bonang to say she has been reduced by Vivica as if she was somewhere before the incident? Bonang is a nobody so is Queen and that rude Ntombi from Generations.

Thumbs up Vivi, my baby sister LOVES you girl.

Well I could have told you that was coming. I had the misfortune of working with Miss Diva at Comic Con Chicago. She went on and on about how much she hates Africa and that when she wants to leave she wants to leave NOW and that Africa’s airlines won’t accommodate her. She called Norman Reedus a F***ing F*g, she was a monster the whole event screaming at staff and saying she did not want to touch the fat smelly sweaty slobs who kept giving her money for her autograph! The only proof I have is a comic con staff shirt and pics from the green room. I didn’t bother to take any of her she was such a nasty beast!

I’m learning sadly that she’s not a very nice person. I still can’t stomach her after she dissed Halle Berry for taking roles opposite white male actors. I love white guys and I love Halle with them, especially in real life cause Olivier Martinez is finer than wine!;) Vivica is a hater and she needs to sit down and get some class.
