I love gadgets. I love phones, cameras, even kitchen gadgets. However, for some reason I’m hopelessly attached to my ancient phone. Ancient compared to the iPhone that is. I almost always lose my phone. As I write this, I have no idea where it is (though I think I left it in the bathroom this morning). My logic? I’m a nut for pretty phones. But there’s a limit to how much I’m willing to part with. The phone in the picture above is a creation of a company called Vertu. Vertu is a British-based manufacturer and retailer of luxury mobile phones. The company is an independently run, wholly-owned subsidiary of the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia. Their aim is to make us think of phones as…well, not just phones. Your phone should make a fashion statement. Something like your jewelry. Of course the cost is based on peronalization to your taste. Pricing is rumoured to be at around $14,000 USD and should start hitting UK stores in December.
