Bob Marley on the Cover of Rolling Stone Italy

Rolling Stone Italy celebrates the 30th anniversary of the passing of Bob Marley with a classic tribute cover. The cover shot has Bob dragging on a freshly rolled joint. If there’s one thing in my life I regret, it’s that I’ll never see Bob Marley in concert. Working on seeing Prince in concert so I hope he’s around for a few more years to come 🙂

Adele Covers Rolling Stone Magazine

British pop singer Adele graces the cover of Rolling Stone magazine’s  Best of Rock 2011 issue this week. The 22-year-old singer looks stunning on the cover, with her black eyeliner and voluminous hair. In the cover story, Adele matter-of-factly says she’s quite happy with her current size and she has no intentions of dieting or exercising any time soon. Adele makes no excuses for her weight. She says she loves eating sugary foods, and her weight gain is an acceptable side effect of her high caloric intake.

“My life is full of drama and I won’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don’t like going to the gym. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don’t think I’d get my t**s and a** out for no one.”

“I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum. Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.”

She also talks about her struggles with stage fright and her alter ego inspired by Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce: (more…)

Rihanna Covers Rolling Stone

I had all but written off Rolling Stone magazine after their last issue featured Jersey Shore’s Snooki on the cover. This time around they feature Rihanna who manages to look sizzling hot as usual. My only problem is she seems to be trying too hard with this good girl gone bad routine. I miss the Pon De Replay Riri…

On the cover of this week’s Rolling Stone (on newsstands Friday (April 1st), Rihanna looks disapprovingly over her shoulder at photographer Mark Seliger’s camera. She wears delicately tattered, barely there shorts made of a fragile material called chainmail — tiny metal squares linked together to form clothing that looks almost painted on. She told her 4 million followers on Twitter that before she put the shorts on she had to heat up the cold metal links with a blow dryer.

She definitely kept it spicy during her cover story while dishing on her sexual fantasies…can someone say TMI??? She likes to be spanked and dominated in the sheets which she contributes to childhood abuse. She also discussed her dysfunctional relationship with her father, as well as why she had the restraining order against Chris Brown lifted: (more…)

Obama In Rolling Stone Magazine

President Obama is on the cover of the October 15, 2010 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. Here’s an excerpt:

What music have you been listening to lately? What have you discovered, what speaks to you these days?
My iPod now has about 2,000 songs, and it is a source of great pleasure to me. I am probably still more heavily weighted toward the music of my childhood than I am the new stuff. There’s still a lot of Stevie Wonder, a lot of Bob Dylan, a lot of Rolling Stones, a lot of R&B, a lot of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Those are the old standards.

A lot of classical music. I’m not a big opera buff in terms of going to opera, but there are days where Maria Callas is exactly what I need. (more…)
